Jurnal Surya Masyarakat (JSM) is a peer-reviewed journal publishing research articles and scholarly works on community service, covering community empowerment, food security, education, training, appropriate technology, social development, and sustainability. Published biannually in May and November, JSM requires original, unpublished manuscripts that undergo editorial screening and peer review by at least two reviewers.
JSM holds SINTA 3 accreditation under Decree Number 204/E/KPT/2022, covering Volume 4, Number 1 through Volume 8, Number 2, and is currently undergoing reaccreditation.
Ownership and Management Information
Jurnal Surya Masyarakat (JSM) is owned by Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) and published by LPPM Unimus. Editorial management, including manuscript evaluation, double-blind peer review, and publication decisions, is conducted independently by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board. Editorial decisions are based on reviewers’ recommendations. Details of the editorial members and their affiliations are available on the Editorial Team page.

Mulai Vol. 9 No. 1, Jurnal Surya Masyarakat (JSM) menggunakan template artikel terbaru yang telah disesuaikan dengan ketentuan akreditasi jurnal ilmiah. Seluruh naskah pada edisi tersebut dan seterusnya wajib menggunakan template terbaru. Starting from Vol. 9 no. 1, Jurnal Surya Masyarakat (JSM) uses the latest article template that has been adapted to the provisions of scientific journal accreditation. All manuscripts in that edition and beyond must use the latest template.
