Publishing Schedule
Publication frequency, editorial workflow, and timely dissemination of scientific articles.
Media Keperawatan Indonesia (MKI) is a peer-reviewed, open access scientific journal dedicated to disseminating research and scholarly contributions in nursing and related healthcare disciplines. The journal maintains a scheduled publication cycle to support reliable and timely access to new evidence.
Publication Frequency
MKI is published quarterly (four issues per year), according to the following regular schedule:
| Issue | Scheduled Publication Month |
|---|---|
| Issue 1 | March |
| Issue 2 | June |
| Issue 3 | September |
| Issue 4 | December |
Each issue may include original research, review articles, and other manuscript categories accepted under the current Author Guidelines and journal section policies.
Editorial Screening and Peer Review
All submitted manuscripts are assessed for suitability, scientific contribution, methodological rigor, research ethics, and compliance with journal requirements before an editorial decision is made.
Since 2026, MKI has implemented double-blind peer review, replacing the single-blind peer review system used in previous years. Under the current procedure, the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another during the external review process, subject to the practical limits of anonymization.
The journal's review and decision procedures are described in the Peer Review Process and Policy and Editorial Decision Policy. Requests for revision or resubmission do not guarantee acceptance.
Publication Preparation
Accepted manuscripts proceed through appropriate editorial and production checks, including copyediting, verification of article metadata and references, layout preparation, and proofreading before publication. The acceptance and publication dates recorded for each article should reflect actual editorial events.
Readers can consult the Current Issue and Archives for the content and publication record of individual issues.
