drg. Hayyu Failasufa, M.KM.
drg. Hayyu Failasufa, M.KM. is a dentist, academic, and health practitioner who dedicates her expertise to the fields of Dentistry and Public Health. Starting her journey as a clinical dentist, she not only focuses on individual patient care but also expands her contribution to the preventive and promotive realms. As an active member of the Indonesian Dental Association (PDGI), she aligns her professional dental background with a Master of Public Health degree to understand oral health from a broader perspective. This makes her a humanist practitioner who is skilled in clinical practice and consistently drives public awareness about the importance of maintaining dental and oral health from an early age.
In the academic world, drg. Hayyu has a solid track record as a teaching staff member under the Department of Dental Public Health (IKGM) at the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG), Muhammadiyah University of Semarang (UNIMUS). Her dedication and leadership capabilities on campus have led her to be entrusted with various strategic positions, ranging from the Head of the Undergraduate Dentistry Study Program to her current role as Vice Dean II of FKG UNIMUS for the 2024–2028 term. Amidst her structural responsibilities, she actively conducts research, writes scientific books on epidemiology, and holds several Intellectual Property Rights for digital dental health innovations she has developed.
drg. Hayyu's strong commitment to bridging academic theory with real-world implementation has resulted in various professional recognitions. Her highly impactful involvement in community service programs—such as training digital cadres for dental health surveillance and conducting mass education in the Semarang City Community Health Center (Puskesmas) areas—has led her to win prestigious national accolades, including the Dentamedia Award. These achievements affirm her reputation as an accomplished academic as well as an adaptive, innovative practitioner fully dedicated to advancing the quality of smiles and the public health of the Indonesian people.
