Post-Publication Discussion

Post-Publication Discussion

Jurnal Statistika Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang welcomes post-publication discussion of articles published in the journal. Such discussion may address the interpretation, methods, data, analysis, reproducibility, or scholarly contribution of a published article.

Submitting a comment

Readers who wish to comment should contact the Editor-in-Chief through the journal's Contact page. The submission should include:

  • the title and full citation of the article being discussed, including its DOI or article URL, if available;
  • a clear and specific description of the point being raised;
  • supporting evidence, references, data, or analysis where relevant; and
  • the submitter's name, affiliation, and contact details.

Comments should be evidence-based, relevant to the published article, and written in a professional and respectful manner. Personal attacks, unsupported allegations, confidential information, and material unrelated to the scholarly content of the article will not be considered for publication.

Editorial assessment and author response

The Editor-in-Chief will assess whether a submission is relevant, sufficiently supported, and suitable for further consideration. The editor may seek advice from an editorial board member or an independent subject expert. Where appropriate, the authors of the article will be invited to respond.

Following editorial assessment, a comment and any author response may be published as correspondence or another suitable scholarly contribution and linked to the article under discussion. Submission of a comment does not guarantee publication. The journal may edit a submission for clarity, length, or compliance with editorial requirements, while preserving its meaning.

Corrections and research integrity concerns

If a comment identifies a possible error that could affect the interpretation or reliability of a published article, the editor will assess the matter under the journal's relevant editorial policies. Requests for correction, expression of concern, or retraction will be handled according to the journal's Editorial Policies.

Allegations of research or publication misconduct should be submitted directly to the Editor-in-Chief through the journal's Contact page. They will be handled confidentially and assessed through the journal's publication ethics procedures rather than through public discussion alone.
