1. Institutional Support (Diamond Model)
The Journal of Intelligent Computing and Health Informatics (JICHI) is a non-commercial, academic, open-access journal owned and managed by Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS).
Currently, JICHI operates under a Diamond Open Access model (scheduled until the end of 2026). All operational costs, including editorial management systems (OJS), website hosting, digital archiving (LOCKSS), and administrative staff, are fully funded by the university's Division of Publication and Journal Management (DPPJ). This ensures that financial constraints do not hinder the publication of high-quality research.
2. Sustainability & Transition Plan
To ensure long-term independence and service quality, JICHI plans to transition to a standard Gold Open Access model starting in 2027. From that point onward, operational costs will be supported by Article Processing Charges (APC) as detailed in our APC Policy. This transition is designed to maintain the highest standards of publishing while accommodating the journal's growth.
3. Advertising Policy
JICHI strictly does not accept advertisements on its website or in its published articles. Our editorial decisions are independent and are never influenced by commercial interests or advertising revenue.
4. Direct Marketing Policy
JICHI employs targeted, unobtrusive direct marketing (e.g., Call for Papers via email) strictly to relevant researchers in the fields of Intelligent Computing and Health Informatics. We condemn spamming and ensure that all marketing activities are conducted ethically, appropriate to the academic community, and truthful (without making false promises regarding acceptance or indexing).
