1. Submission Fee
There are NO submission fees for the Journal of Intelligent Computing and Health Informatics (JICHI). Submitting a manuscript is entirely free of charge.
2. Publication Fee (Diamond Open Access)
To foster global knowledge exchange and support researchers from all economic backgrounds, JICHI currently operates under a Diamond Open Access policy, fully subsidized by the university.
- Manuscripts submitted before December 31, 2026: APC: USD 0 (FREE). Authors will NOT be charged any publication fees. This initiative is fully funded by Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) to support the dissemination of science without financial barriers.
- Manuscripts submitted on or after January 1, 2027: To ensure long-term sustainability, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 200 (or equivalent in IDR) will apply to accepted papers. This fee covers the costs of peer review administration, professional production (PDF/XML), digital archiving, and indexing services.
- Waiver Policy: JICHI is committed to inclusivity. Even after 2027, automatic waivers or significant discounts will be available for authors from Low-Income Countries (based on World Bank Classification) or authors demonstrating financial hardship.
3. Withdrawal & Sanction Policy
JICHI maintains a strict policy against unethical withdrawal. Withdrawing a manuscript after the peer-review process has commenced wastes valuable editorial and reviewer resources.
- Withdrawal during peer review: Authors may be subject to a reimbursement fee of USD 100 to cover administrative costs.
- Withdrawal after acceptance: A fee of USD 200 applies.
Note: Withdrawal requests must be made in writing to the Editor-in-Chief. Failure to settle the reimbursement may result in the author being blacklisted from future submissions to JICHI.
