The history of Journal of Intelligent Computing and Health Informatics (JICHI) is as follows (sorted from the latest):
#2025: Strategic Restructuring & Global Alignment
- Editorial & Scope Refinement (October 2025): To better serve the global health informatics community and maximize our impact, JICHI underwent a rigorous editorial restructuring. Effective Vol. 6 No. 2, October 2025, the journal strictly enforces its refined Aim & Scope, focusing exclusively on the intersection of intelligent computing methodologies, health informatics, and interdisciplinary biomedical applications. Articles published prior to this volume may reflect a broader, generalized computer science perspective.
- Alignment with UN SDGs: JICHI formally aligned its mission with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically supporting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
- Template Update: A new, improved article template (LaTex and Word versions) was officially implemented starting from Vol. 6 No. 2. The new template introduces better readability, structured metadata placement, and improved alignment with international indexing standards such as DOAJ and Scopus. It also enhances machine readability and XML parsing capabilities for digital archiving, replacing the previous template used since March 2022.
#2022: National Accreditation
- JICHI received National Accreditation (SINTA 4) by the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia through decree No.204/E/KPT/2022, dated October 3, 2022.
- The third version of the JICHI article template and the second version of the journal cover were implemented in Vol. 3 No. 1, March 2022.
- The Crossmark service was officially discontinued starting from Vol. 3 No. 1, March 2022.
#2021: Institutional Collaboration
- Established a formal agreement with APSI-PTMA (Asosiasi Program Studi Informatika Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah dan 'Aisyiyah). [Link]
- The Crossmark policy was temporarily initiated in Vol. 2 No. 1, March 2021.
- The second version of the JICHI template was under consideration and development during this period.
#2020: Open Access Commitment
