Jurnal Pendidikan Sains Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang(p-ISSN:2339-0786, e-ISSN:2502-1443 ) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Program studi Pendidikan Kimia, Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang. This Journal was first registered p-ISSN:2339-0786 in 2013. Whereas in 2015 Jurnal Pendidikan Sains (JPS) was registered on e-ISSN:2502-1443. There is a change in the article writing template. It began from volume 9 number 1 2021, Jurnal Pendidikan Sains (JPS) just receive article in english. Jurnal Pendidikan Sains (JPS) is published twice a year, namely in march and october.

This journal publishes original articles on the latest issues in science curriculum, instruction, learning, policy that address the intersection of science education and technology with implications for improving and enhancing science education. 

We envision science education encompassing physics, chemistry, and biology as a critical driver in advancing the goals of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), by fostering scientific literacy, systems thinking, and responsible decision-making necessary for addressing complex global challenges.

Topics covered can be categorized as disciplinary (biology, chemistry, physics, enviromental, as well as some applications of computer science and engineering, including the processes of learning, teaching and teacher development), technological (hardware, software, deigned and situated environments involving applications characterized as with, through and in).

The Journal Pendidikan Sains (JPS) is accredited Sinta 3 as written in the Ministry of Research and Technology Decree No. 36/E/KPT/2019.
