ANALYSIS OF SIGMUND FREUD PSYCHOANALYSIS THEORY: ID EGO SUPEREGO ON PERSONAL CHARACTER IN THE NOVEL THE TRAGEDY PAPER

Abstract


This research aims to find out the personality of each character. And this study uses qualitative methods with data obtained from sentences or dialog about the personality of each character in the novel. The object of this research is the novel The Tragedy Paper and is supported by secondary data such as theory books, and related articles. This research uses Sigmund Freud's personality theory of Id, Ego, and Superego. The results of this study show that the Id element in each character is related to pleasure. Then next, the ego, in this study the ego is categorized into three, namely telling his feelings, action, and decision. While the superego is rejection which rejects the thoughts of the id.
